DME

- Accurate Distance Measuring has never been easier

Anywhere an accurate distance is necessary, the DME is the answer!

Pocketsize and rugged

Perfect for circular plot and prism inventories – and with numerous
other user areas: buffer strips, building dimensions, road layouts,
and accident investigation…

This distance measuring instrument will be a terrific help for all types of distance measuring in the field. The DME offers quick and very accurate readings even in thick underbrush.

Multifunctional
Use two measuring instruments to obtain the distance between varying points. When working the DME system in pairs, one DME
measuring unit is set in transponder mode. The DME will easure the distance in exact digits when moving backward or forward! Make sure that the power gate has the exact measures… or the new road…

BAF
With the new “Reverse Prism” function you are able to use the DME on prism cruises as well. By selecting one of the built in BAF’s you are able to be at the tree and determine its minimum diameter to be included in the point. This function allows you the ability to Prism cruise on tracks with thick underbrush that you could not do with a standard prism.

Transponder and Monopod staff
The omni-directional capacity (360 degrees) makes the Vertex III instrument ideal for measuring fixed radius plots. By placing the transponder at plot center you are able to quickly and accurately determine if the object is “in” the plot. By allowing you to work the plot from the outside in, your production per plot is greatly increased not to mention eliminating the error of misjudging “borderline” trees.
