Haglöf Sweden AB

Haglöf Sweden AB has manufactured measuring instruments for more than half a century. The professional Haglöf products are sold in approximately 200 countries ; mostly through our net of independent distributors all over the world.

To many people, the name Haglöf is synonymous to increment borers. Throughout the decades, the borer has been our most important product, implying quality in material and craftsmanship.

Northern parts of Sweden

Haglöf Sweden main office as well as the production plant are located in the northern parts of Sweden . The subsidiary company Haglof Inc was established in 1983, and is located in expansive Madison Mississippi. Distributors and customers from Scandinavia and Europe , Australia and New Zealand , Asia , Africa , and South America are served from our main office in Sweden .

In year 2000, a sales office in Lithuania was established to improve the service and support to the growing forestry regions in the Baltic States and Russia .

Computer calipers

For the past 20 years, the Haglöf product range has grown to include all types of measuring instruments designed for and with the professional forestry industry and research institutes.

The first Haglöf computer caliper model was introduced in 1990, with several upgrading and new applications to follow. Today, the Mantax Computer is a well-known trade name and standard setting instrument all over, used in approximately 60 countries , and working with any of the 300 plus software options for different implements such as cruising, thinning, log measuring, harvester calibration and other.

With our most recent digital caliper the Mantax Digitech, the gap between mechanic and computer caliper is filled, increasing the communication possibilities between field instruments and adding value to investments made into field computers and other equipment. The great flexibility and user friendliness makes the Mantax Digitech an excellent complement to the Mantax product program for professional diameter measuring work.

Vertex and DME instruments

In 1994, the first Vertex and DME instruments were introduced to the market. Measuring with ultrasonic signals proved to be a very useful technique in demanding terrains, and the updated Vertex III Hypsometer is our number one best selling instrument for height- distance and angle measuring work.

We are truly thankful for the useful input from customers all over, which has led to the smarter design and user-friendly layout of these instruments. The recent release of two new, unique instruments completes the program for height measuring, and the positive response following the first product introductions has been overwhelming.

To cover the demand for a simple, low cost, useful and reliable instrument for height measuring, Haglöf Sweden has developed the first electronic clinometer of its kind. The Haglöf Electronic Clinometer, smaller than a box of matches and as easy to use, presents exact height and angle results from any known distance in the instrument display, eliminating the problem of error calculations and misreading.

Laser technology

Our most asked for product improvement breaks the barrier between ultrasound and laser technology. The unique, multi-functional Vertex Laser combo instrument uses the best of the best measuring technologies.

Flexibility is its true sense of the word, where the operator can choose which of the techniques is most suitable for the present measuring situation. Use the proven reliable ultrasound when undergrowth is thick and distances shorter, and the laser when distances are longer and sighting is clear!

We are looking forward to hearing from you!
